    l92 question

I can pick up a set of l92 heads with valves and yellow springs no rockers though. And a lq4 short block(110kmiles) no oil pan or pick up tube all for $750 decent deal? Also anyone know if the 5.3 oil pan is the same as the 6.0?

From what I know the Pan is more dependent on the vehicle it came out of. They will all bolt up to the block, pan design would be different from say a trailblazer and a silverado

If you want, I have a 6.0 pan from a truck that I can let go on the cheap.

Just noticed you did a lq4 swap. What did it make for power with what cam?Im still on the fence on going wih l92 lq4 or just a cammed 5.3 and spray my truck weighs 3400lbs when it had a all cast iron chevy 350 in it with a th400.So weight isnt an issue compared to most new chevys and the fbodys.

Power is unkown still. I haven't done first start up yet, as the swap has been a winter project. Its a Texas Speed Tsunami cam. If the weather turns around she should be started up and on the dyno soon. You could just go for a standard lq4 and spray it as well.

Cam choice is ctrical with any rectangle port head (LS3,7,9, L99,92,76) and the old cam choice rules no longer apply from the cathedral port heads if you want optimum performance out of those heads w/o killing the low end performance.

NVM l92 heads sold.Ohwell now sure if im gonna go lq4 with 5.3 heads.Or just cammed 5.3/Only thing keeping me from going lq4 with 5.3 heads is the lq4 has no water pump/alternator/brackets sensors nothing. And i can buy a 80k mile 5.3 for $450 with everything coils/water pump/brackets/pan not sure on what to do now.Obviously most power would be nice. But done wanna kill the wallet.Anyone got some cheap coils and such guess ill make a list of what it all needs in the classified section.
