I got ran off I43 near 164 in Big Bend last night as a guy decided to drive dead center down the freeway passing people. I was in the left lane and ended up with the drivers side tires in the grass at freeway speed and damn near lost it. Was in the Lumina because the TA is put down. Once I got the car sorted out, nerves back in order and back on the road I closed up on him and saw this was pretty much his driving habit. He was all over the frickn place. Called him in to 911 and kept following him. While talking to the dispatcher I had permission to follow "As long I felt comfortable with the situation" I said, "Ma'am, if you only knew...this guy isn't going anywhere". We ran I43N to 45 N to 94E and then I43N again and was on the cell the whole time with dispatch calling off our crossstreets and position. -Now THAT was cool! Sheriffs didnt aquire us until I43 & Silver Spring because traffic was kind of dense and we were averaging about 80 bobbing through traffic. When the fleet of squads got to us I got waved off by dispatch. Talking to the lead officer later on, found out the guy was 71 and had too much to drink afterall.

I did that once. this lady turned infront of me on 6th and howard. She was bouncin off curbs like a pinball. Called the cops and talked to the dispacher for about a minute and all of a sudden a cop was comming the other way, saw her, and pulled her over on his own without even hearing the call yet. Cop came up to me and my buddy and was like. "You just saved this lady's life for tonight." I guess she took alot of pills and then went driving around because she wanted to die. So I felt pretty good about saving some lives. Didnt get $50 tho.. :(

Last I heard from all the calls to 911 since the whole $50 thing started, they don't have enough cash, so Jon if you get it Ill be pretty suprised. If it was set in stone to get $50/conviction I'd be camping on Water street every night, Im sure I could even quit my job.

Nice job! I did that a couple times, the best was when a Sheriff driving a Burban blew a light on the onramp and was hauling ass as he passed me in pursuit from my phone call. The dispatch told me any minute I will see him but he already blew past me and I was hauling at 80mph keeping up with 2 drunks that ran me off the road.
