Looking for the reputable exhaust shops in the area that do very good work/fair prices....probably car guys who run it ;).

IRC, Midas in Hales Corners was a good one and that exhaust shop on Sunset in Waukesha...

Drove over a nice raised manhole on Silver Spring today and pretty much destroyed one of my tailpipes from the muffler being hit flush and pushing it back :fire .

DO NOT GO TO THE ONE on SUNSET in waukesha, Mufflers and pipes, they suck, and they over charge ya.

Does anyone have an idea of the hours for that Midas? I will try and stop in but due to where I work and what times, doubt I can get there during the week unless they are open later.

I had my exhaust installed at Car Maid in Cedarburg. My dad has been doing business with Dennis there for dozens of years. He swaped the motor out of the monte, and lots of other misc stuff since the 80s(maybe 70s)

if anyone goes to see Dennis ask him if he still wants the FMIC I have waiting for him, he didn't show up for work on Saturday.

Mikes Mufflers or just Mikes in South Milawukee, on college and Packard. Or is that stil cudahy.

Few of my buddys had exhaust done and it looked great and the price was fair, if not on the cheap side.

It's a " Car Guys Place " he has a few classics outside, mainly a ford guy by the looks.

hope that helps

I had a stainless SLP cat-back welded on there on my 2000 Grand Am GT and they didn't weld with stainless. They basically ruined my exhuast.

I heard Herman has a shop again. I wouldn't go there. I had a Thermal cat-back installed by him on my gf's 2000 Integra and somehow the rear 02 sensor wire melted after he installed it. Maybe he used the sensor wire as a hanger :confused Also I had him do a 2.5" exhaust on my Lincoln Mark VII LSC. 2 times my rear brake hose got sliced by his muffler hanger bracket. Lost my brakes twice, could have killed myself or someone else!

WOW....that sucks big time. I have been there 4-5 times with exhaust work and they have done fine with my pieces. Just speaking from my experience
:confused

I would assume that if you went there multiple times he must have given you some decent prices? Seems like a good clean shop and all, but it also was a bit more expensive than Dennis at Midas, I'm only curious if the workmanship is better.

I had some welding done at Midas in Hales Corners and wasn't impressed with how they welded my cat-back but again thats just me. I had good luck with Wisconsin Muffler but I never had them do anything all that difficult either
