L.E.D. Tail Light

I have a sample of the custom L.E.D. tail/stop light for 3SI's. There are 310 L.E.D.s per tali/stop light, 42 are tail and 268 are stop.

Lucky me, out of 310 L.E.D.s there was 1 bad L.E.D.!!! Its not going to be fun replacing that :(

Did you build that or did you buy it somewhere? Either way it looks pretty good.

I prefer the ones that use a resistor to dim the LEDs for the tail lights. That way you still get the same coverage behind the lens but its definatly dimmer. If I can find a link to the ones I was looking at I will post it.

Go to Radio Shack and pick up a few for 1.59, open the tail light, solder away!

Hey every one I took some better pictures and anther test.

Yes its a bad picture but it shows how bright it realy is. My eyes still hurt from looking directly at the array of leds.

Whats up every one I just got the rear turns done 166 led per turn

The total count on leds is now up to 1012 on the rear of the VR-4. Thats just tail/stop high mount and turns. I still need to make back up lights.
