1968 Camaro rolling chassis

Last titled for the street in 1974 has been a drag car
since then.

Very solid body. Minor rust on the pass door and front
fender. Trunk floor is weak and has a hole cut in it
for a cell. The drivers side front floor has been
patched and the trans tunnel has been hacked up. The
trunk is there and has holes from a Z/28 style
spoiler. It has a glass hood with a pro stock style
scoop. The rear wheel wells have been rolled to fit
big meats on it.

The car was built as a yellow coupe with black std
bucket seats. It appears to have been a stick car
since new. The dash is still there but no heater core
or heater controls. The gages are there and there is a
fairly nice 6 point cage installed. No head liner or
interior, just door panels. There is one racing style
bucket in it. All the glass is there with the
hardware.

The car has a Dana 60 with 4.10's. Leaf spring
suspension and a traction system that I was told is
called a Southside set up (I have no idea, ask for a
pic) The front suspension is standard Camaro and it
has drum brakes yet.

There is a fuel cell and pump included.

This car would make a great drag car again or pro
street. I'm sure it could be made back to semi stock
with a catalog and some time.

I'm asking $6500/OBO or a partial Mopar related trade.
I'm located in Milwaukee and the car can be viewed
almost anytime.

so sad those gorgeous cars get hacked up...

The nice thing is that this one isn't really hacked up. For a 36 year old drag car to still have almost all the sheetmetal and not be tubbed is very nice. It wouldn;t take a whole lot to turn it back to a nice stock appearing car.

The other thing that people don't realize is that in the early 70's used Camaros and Mustangs were a dime a dozen. No one cared what happened at all until the mid 80's.

I hope it goes to a good home. All it is for me is trouble waiting to be driven!

I came close to getting a fresh 454/4 speed for it the other day.

Bad bad bad bad.....

:thumbsup
