I am selling a 4L60E that was built by Kilpatricks. It has all new heavy duty raybestos clutches, wider bands, upgraded solenoids, Trans Go Shift kit. It was run in my car with a big trans cooler and I never had any problems with it. Looking to get a $1000
I live in waukesha area but I can deliver it with in a reasonable distance.
Cell 262-751-9439 Thanks, Brad

It would make a great backup trans for someone. $850

off the top of your head, do you know if there is a difference in the converters/input/output shafts between the F-bodies and the GM trucks that use the 4L60E? Im just considering options to help with towing. I'll be pulling around a very large boat next year so i'm weighing on whether to upgrade my trans.

What are you going to run in your car? Is this out of your car or has it just been freshened?

This is the one that was in my car. It works perfectly. Just getting something else. :D I don't know the differences. I don't think it should be a problem though.

Brad, I'll get back to you on it. Just debating whether I want to dump the money right now with the holiday season coming up.

That's fine, we can work out a layaway plan too. :)

There are some diffs between car and truck 4L60E's, namely the 4x4 units which have a longer output shaft and no place for the reluctor wheel to go onto the shaft for the speed sensor like a 2wd would, where the VSS would be in the tail housing.

So this one is out of the question for a 4x4 truck, secondly the bell housing bolt pattern is slightly diff from a LS1 to a oldschool SBC bellhousing patern that the 4.3's etc have...

The late model trans, you can take out the front pump, and un bolt the bell housing and swap the housings to the older style, but then you still would have to swap the tail shaft out too, which requires the trans to be completely dissasembled.

The Converters should be the same spline wise etc...

if i were to put a od unit in a truck it would be a 4l80e i think most 2wd full size trucks have a 4l65 anyways ,witch is basicly a 4l60e with a 4l80 5 pinion planet assemby
