Just a cpl shot from my buddies wedding reception last weekend. Most of these were taken while blasted drunk so don't hate on me too bad :goof

This one is a layout I am doing for them. Vows on the side pics and names and the wedding date on the center pic. This is an example of the matted 3x8x10 layout . . .

whats the exif data on the #2 shot?
and what lens?

Thats some real nice indoor color/lighting IMO, because I'm sure it was pretty dim in the room.

Was shot with my Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG EX Macro along with a 550EX Speedlight bounced off the ceiling. I had to comp the exposure on the flash and the camera to get what I wanted but it worked pretty good. The E-TTL is just plain unreliable in full manual shooting so I use a comped program to get it to work the way I want. It was dark as hell in there, I must have gone through 4-5 sets of batteries in the flash alone :stare

Thanks for the compliments guys :thumbsup

Great pictures. I like the vows idea. Do you do this for just friends or are you for hire?

So far mainly just for freinds. Had been working on building a portfolio up. I am basically ready to do this for hire now. Got someone in mind? Right now I could still do one on "promo" sort of pricing ;)

I guess I am dumb on the term "comp the exposure on the flash and the camera". What do you mean by that?

Simply put the 550EX has a tendency to produce overly dark frames at times in these dark situations when shooting at a bit of a distance. I set "exposure compensation" in the cameras controls. That way the camera will still determine the exposure automatically but will add or subtract however much compensation I have added to it. For this particular shot the cameras compensation was set to 1 2/3 stop more than the camera would normally use and the flash added an additional 1/3 stop. So total exposure compensation was f/+2 basically. Kind of like going from f/5.6 to f/2.8 or from 1/60 to 1/15 (math? possibly wrong on that) but you get the idea ;)
