I raced an 04 GTO and I won. I heard the new 05's were pretty bad ass though. I wonder how it would do against a stage 2 car.

04 = 350hp, 6k redline
05+06 = 400hp, 6.5k redline. trans, etc. is the same.

i played w/ a modded SRT, dont' know what was done and had him before the intersection.

I love SRT's. those and the new blown cobalts get two thumbs up from me.

My best trap speed is 106.5 so the GTO gets the win. Ok we both get the win. Thanks for the complement on the Mach.

so close to purchasing the '05 GT in my sig, but damn I love the way your car looks..

got a question for you. does your stang feel alot more linear than your f-body did?? like almost "weaker" w/out actually being weaker??

I really liked alot about the '05 we drove, but a few days later and I can't get over the fact that it felt like there was no power, no get up and go. but I know accel feel in the GTO is damn downright brutal, that combined w/ the exhaust note go a long way in giving the feel of "fast".

300hp is 300hp, but that dang thing felt like maybe 240-260 which is nothing compared to mine. very different machines I know. maybe I'm just accustomed to the feel and zing of mine pulling to 6500rpm.

honestly, my GTP felt quicker, even early in the game when I just got it and all it had was a pulley and spark plugs.

FYI, my best trap was 110.0 Yes The 05 GTO is Quick and a good trap as well, As far as My Mach feeling weaker than my WS6 The Mach feels just as strong and out did my WS6 in the 1/4 the Mach pulls hard up to 6700 RPMs with a good tune in it, the mod motors love to rev 7200 rpms before the rev limiter kicks in. I test drove an 05 GT and the sales guy was asking me So faster than your Mach hey, I just smiled and said Im gonna keep my Mach it will def out run this GT stock for stock. Also 300 hp at the crank on the 05 GT which equates to prolly 260-275 RWHP and weighs more than your GTP I think. Also once ya start modding those GTs it's a whole new beast and they do handle very well, And They look nice too boot. Rember comparing your GTO To the 05 GT is like comparing apples to oranges.
