Early july I dropped off my spare mazda diff to a "reputable" local shop with more favorable 3.90 gearing, a stronger clutch type lsd from an earlier model rx7 and a companion flange that would allow me to bolt this in without modding the driveshaft. All it needed was to be assembled, I would have done it myself, but setting the lash properly is critical.

The guy who runs the shop is a friend of a friend so I figure I can trust them. WRONG! It has been over 2 months and now I find out that they have lost the lsd and companion flange which are not cheap or easy to find. Luckily my stock rear has held up on street tires and a few easy passes at GLD, but I do not trust it for a hard launch or another weekend at Road America. :fire :flipoff2: **** it, the only local shop that will touch anything on my car from now on is Big Bear Tire.

ATD. I can't really blame the shop manager as he was not in when I dropped off the parts and he has vowed to make it right. We'll see what happens.

I'm just tired of second rate treatment that seems to happen because it is a mazda product.
