So I hear the appartments off drexel & pens/nicholson burned last night. My sister said they had Crudahay, St Francis, Oak Creek, & SM on it!

Anyone got any pics of the aftermath?

Yeah it went up pretty good... I had my scanner and such and there were quite a few departments there.
S. Milw, Oak Creek, Cudahy, St. Francis, Hales Corners, Wawautosa, Franklin and the Airport fire department. I think they also had Milwaukee FD there also.

Really couldnt get over there cause it was blocked off, they even brought in the street department garbage trucks to block the streets cause people were going around the flares and the police cars.

It was all caos down there cause off all the people so I didnt bother going there.

Ya my house is right there so my sister saw it first hand. My grandpa was at my house also and he said he'd never seen a building burn like that! Flames were VERY high and it was out of control! They also shut the power off to our block.

Yeah I heard all kinds of sirens so I tuned my scanner on and listened to it all. The OC cops were gettin pissed cause of the people goin around their flares and cones. My dad knows some of the cops and the chief. Ill have to tell my dad to give the chief some crap.

Firefighters respond to 4-alarm blaze

South Milwaukee - Firefighters were on the scene of a four-alarm blaze early today at a 20-unit apartment building at 1834 E. Drexel Ave.

No injuries were reported. Firefighters were still searching the building early today. When firefighters arrived shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday, flames were shooting through the roof of the two-story building. Firefighters from Franklin, St. Francis, Greenfield, Greendale, Oak Creek, West Allis, Cudahy, Hales Corners and the 440th Airlift Wing at Mitchell International Airport were called to help fight the blaze. The cause is unknown and no damage estimate was available, said Jerry Hammering, public information officer for the Oak Creek Fire Department.

Mike, did you get any pictures of the flames/fire? I saw some on the news this morning, now I understand why they called in all the FD's that they did. From the pics I saw, the flames looked to be about 15'-20' high. I hope those people had renter's insurance.

Did they find the cause yet?

Looks pretty bad. It's one of my worst fears that my place catches on fire and I'm not home. My personal things can be replaced but I'd hate for my pets to be trapped in a burning building. That would suck...

NO

no one got hurt cause
it was 8:45PM, saturday night
and once someone saw the fire, they knocked on all the doors yelling FIRE!!!!!!!

and everyone was awake, and got out.

Thank You Jesus!

:)
