Wow, that's old. I believe that happened back on April 9th or 10th back at GDL. The kid that ownes that vette told his insurance company what really happened and they paid for it.

seriously... what cuased the failure? A couple of things probably...one, engaging the nitrious a little too early. Most times not much of a problem, however it's compounded by 2) The fact that the LS1's intake is a "dry" intake and isn't particularly suited to keep fuel suspended in air...so it puddles and ignites. If the air speed had been quicker, he may not have had the problem...tough to say.
