Does anyone know if the price of race gas at that station on Slinger has gone up also?

I will check tonight, in approximately 45 minutes. I'll get the Tri-Par on HWY60/175 110 Leaded price, and the EH Wolf 100 Unleaded price. Hell, if it's anywhere near 4 bucks I'll fill the fĂșcking grand prix! :fire

Heh, I'm sure it's gone up with the rest of the gas. Those people aren't dumb, they know it's going to cost more to get more later so they'll jack that right up with the rest.

Your only chance is if they haven't raised it yet.

I'm guessing that the gas is a tad over $5.00/gal at Wolf Bros....last time I was there it was $4.95/gallon or so....think the GTP needs some good 100 octane in it brent??? :thumbsup

I have great news to report. Tri-Par in Slinger on HWY 60 and HWY 175, has Rockett Brand Race Fuel 111 Octane available at the pump, for a low price of $3.89! I asked the girl if it was going to change soon and she said she's worked there for a year and it hasn't changed once. So she didnt feel it was going to be going up.

I loaded up as much as I could get (10 gallons into two 5 gallon gas cans). Tomorrow is Thursday and they are having their 20 cents off price, so it will be 111 Octane leaded Race Fuel for $3.69. I'm filling up twice! :thumbsup

I'm really loving this $3.69 race gas idea. I think I'm gonna run the Syclone on race gas all the time, until gas comes below $3.00/gal. :thumbsup Turn this gas crisis into something to get excited about!!! :banana

what about the 02 sensors??

My car is already cat-less and down to one 02 sensor, i think that one I got is kinda important. then again I don't wanna kill it, harder to get @ to replace w/ my headers.

My opinion - not worth it unless you're running a turbocharged engine, a high boost blower setup, a high compression engine, or REALLY addicted to the smell.

Leaded gas will foul your spark plugs quickly, it leaves all kinds of shlt on mine, but I changed them every few months anyhow. It will also foul your O2 sensor after a while but if you have a heated O2 (most late cars do) "supposedly" the lead ash has a harder time clogging it.

Yeah I just stopped at the Tri-Par in Random lake and payed 3.89 a gallon for it. the sign said it was on sale today, but the pump still said 3.89. Oh well i got 10 gallons. I'm with you Josh, I'm gonna run race gas most of the time now till prices go down.

Is that the TORCO pump kind of by Road America/Sheboygan?

What were you running before, Dave? (To achieve 24 PSI) I was running 93 plus alcohol but I figure, with race gas I'll still run alcohol and just add some extra boost/timing :thumbsup Should be lots of fun!!!

110 Octane leaded Race gas is $3.20 at the Citgo off of Hwy 41 up on the south side of Oshkosh at the "south park" exit on the west side of the road. Hasn't changed price all year.

OK boys -- this is the real deal!!! I went to Tri Par in Slinger again tonight, the pumps still said 3.89 and I paid 3.69 at the register!!! :thumbsup And at Poor Richard's BP on HWY 100 the price for Premium is 3.69 so now YES -- You got it -- for the first time ever, I have hereby paid THE SAME PRICE FOR RACE GAS AS PREMIUM COSTS!!!

I ended up buying $90 worth (23 gallons)!!! And lemme tell ya, so far this stuff is great!! It smells awesome and runs richer than the 10% ethanol 93 octane (which is what I figured, and hoped for). I keep turning up the boost and it still isn't detonating :stare My truck is starting to feel Faster Than Ever!

PS: There's no doubt that mixing gas SUCKS!! I wasted a good hour trying to drain 20 gallons of 93 octane from the truck, and good luck finding extra 5 gallon gas cans this week.. Not to mention I wore my arm out holding 15 gallons of gas in the air forever while it Slowwwly poured into my "recipient" vehicle..

No, no... its a new gas station on 57 in Random Lake. I forgot what brand of gas it is.
I am running 93 octane normally at 24 psi, with race gas I see about 26 psi and almost 30 degrees of timing advance. Car really loves race gas.

I used to have a signature on BCM here that said "Forced induction engines cannot realize their full HP potential without high octane fuel." (Taken from these awesome pages: "Ignition and Combustion" http://www.sdsefi.com/techcomb.htm, and "Intelligent Engine Mods" http://www.sdsefi.com/techmods.htm)

What is your timing advance on 93 octane with the 24 PSI? I hope I can give you a ride in the Syclone sometime soon, it's really turning into a rocket ship!

I am not sure what normal advance is, I'm guess ing around 10 to 15. Running Race gas gives almost 50 HP at the wheels. Its a real nice set-up that Dodge came out with. Gotta love factory tuning. :)
I definatly want to take a ride in your truck, i'll give you a ride in the Neon too. Its defiantly more than expected.

Northlake, Kilbourne Rd. off of Hwy 83 south of train bridge after s-curve (look for jack's welding on left). It is an automated truck stop that sells 110 Torco for 3.79 24 hrs a day. Bring yourself a few cans, they shortened the hose and installed a baracade. One way around that is bring your own hose and a clamp.

i ran 110 at the track last time and have gotten some here and there. i also, like dan am down to one 02 sensor, the car loved it. i saw 1.5-2.5 degrees of knock retard when i was hot and jammin on the throttle normally, with the race gas i was seeing less than one degree allll the time. smelled great, and i actually did a bit better on mileage.
