First of all, any good advice that I wouldn't normally read in the brochure would be useful. My mom has to teach me how to do laundry and I still have to talk to my roommates.

Dirty clothes will make your room stink.

Dorm cafateria food sucks; get a pizzaz pizza oven.

Don't get a "walk around" for your dorm, they have no space. Go with loft.

Beast ice is the cheapest beer to get drunk off of, but a bottloe of Jose' and margarita mix does the job faster and tastes better.

Don't open a can of soda in the middle of class, teachers hate it.

Where are you going to school?

The Twin Cities. I'm leaving in a week, and I'm just starting to get organized....sort of.

I just checked the cost for books, and from the U of M bookstore, everything new would be $948.30. Used would cost $810.65.

Book buying sucks. Try to get them online.

I just realized not everything is required.

For only what's required, $424.40; Used $362.2. 62 bucks to save going with used.

I wonder if I would have a problem with all of the pages being there, or the ink being smeared with used books.

Save yourself the cash. Usually used books are a little worn down, but have all the pages intact. You might be able to get used books from upper classmen. At my school, we can post stuff through email. At the end of the semester, don't sell your books back to the bookstore because you'll get nothing for them. You'd be better off trying to sell them to other students directly.

If the classes are big enough sit in the back, teachers normally won't know what your doing and they won't call on you either. Everything from a keg tastes good. And if you can wait til you actually go to class before buying books. Ive bought way too many books ahead of time that I really didn't need.
