C'mon J Dub, you know me better then that. The naughty pics are all on the digital!

I just want the film to stay in house cuz it's my wedding pics and I don't want them to get lost in shipment anywhere. I worked at a lab for 5 years and saw it happen many times!!!

Hell, in that case,I would go to a Walgreens and do the 1 hour developing and just wait for it as it stays in house.

There has to be someplace better then Walgreens. Does anyone know if Art's Camera has a lab?

yea they do and they process about 75% of all film in house. I have not had the greatest luck with Art's though. I have had film scratched, color balance WAY off etc. They have some stupid people working there I think.

Crivellos on Bluemound has always been good to me and my film. I don't shoot film anymore but they are reasonable, have same day turnaround available and they are quite knowledgable. I Arts is a joke personally. I tried to trade in my Tamron 28-200 wide angle zoom and asked how much they would give me for it. Remember, this lens retailed for about $280 new....they offered me $15 for it.... :shades :alcoholic :punch:

Art's has a one hour lab as does Ritz at Bayshore. Otherwise many of the Walgreens now are using Fuji minilabs, which are the same ones that Ritz and Art's are using. I've been taking all of my film to the Wlagreens down the road since I moved here and had VERY good results. Plus they are cheaper than Art's or Ritz. Also the Fuji minilabs are nice because they can actually scan the negative (for a photo CD) rather than the finished prints like alot of the older Kodak dinosaurs do. In the end the CD version files have MUCH less grain and better more correct contrast and color.

Just my $.02 :thumbsup

Agreed :chair:

Remeber also that alot of the places that scatch your films are where they end up hanging out in the open on racks for hours and then some idiot high school kid grabs and crams them into another machine or cutting box. I've seen that ALL THE TIME at Osco's and the like. If you do go to a Walgreens or something ask them who their senior processor is or for a manager and then make it clear that you do not want some pimple faced trainee learning with your film. I only take my films in when I know who is working at that time. Then again I am on a first name basis with most of the staff down there.

Well the wife dropped the film off at Crivello's last night. Hopefully everything comes out ok since the pics my Mom took aren't that great...

I was going to suggest Walgreen's in Brookfield, as that's where my wife is the head photo specialist. She's also a wedding photog, and does all her own printing.
She has been diappointed with Crivello's, Art's (she worked there years ago), Wal-Mart, Family Foto, etc. before she got back into running a lab 3 years ago. One place was so bad, the bride's dress was green.
If you're not satisfied with Crivello's, go see her.
