Hot and headwindy day, but it went pretty well considering. My first pass was my fastest pass, as the track changed their burnout method to a new ridiculous way. They hose the whole lane down with a garden hose, and you have to drive through it with your front wheels and all. There was hardly any water at all the first pass when the car hooked hard. After that pass a boat would have launched better in all that water.

11.82 @ 112.76 with a 1.61 60 ft time. I'm car S180.

With some better air, less wind and a few more passes to figure out shift points etc., I'm sure I'll be able to wiggle another tenth and MPH out of it. I'm still satisfied though, just might have to try another track.

The top 3 videos are this years passes.

:thumbsup That's a 383, right? Is that with the AFR 195 heads? What was the peak RPM the motor was making power at?

Yup, its a 383. It has Brodix Race Rite 200 heads on it, and the motor peaked at 6300 on the chassis dyno.

Thanks for the words guys! :thumbsup

Nah, I dont daily drive it. It would be fun and all, but gas would be expensive and I dont think the neighbors would like it much seeing as I leave so early in the morning. :D

Congratulations on the 11-second run!

Last time I was there I got the same crappy taste in my mouth when I had to drive my all-wheel-drive eclipse through the "burnout box", when I left wheelspinning or wheelhopping. I usually pull 1.56-1.60 60' times, but I could only get like a high 1.7 60', followed by motor failure.

I agree with you about WIR's lame way of making a burnout box for this year. I cannot remember how many people complained about that setup. The old setup was much better where you would turn into your lane, then back up into the pits--it also reduced the amount of crap that would spray off the person's tires ahead of you and hit your car. The old way was nice. The new way cost me my front axles last time I raced there with the Eclipse for Drop Fest.

Broke the front left axle, trashed the outer CV in the front right axle, popped the rear left axle halfway out of the rear diff. On top of all that, my motor spun a #2 rod bearing, and my turbo failed its thrust bearing.

What a crappy day that was. Best run to date with the old motor/turbo setup:

rxn: 0.020
60': 1.589
330': 4.967
1/8 ET: 7.634
1/8 MPH: 93.950
1/4 ET: 11.826
1/4 MPH: 120.460

Done at Union Grove - Great Lakes Dragaway 5/29/05.

Will be looking for 130+ MPH traps with my new setup that will be completed by 9/17/05.

If you are up there for RSD's at WIR next Friday, I will look for you - will be in my work van since I will be in the area for a jobsite.
