On the 21st of AUG the ALMS (American Le Mans Series) will be at Road America.

I plan on goin, plus a few freinds of mine. Im sure Heat SKR will be there, maybe SRT4ME.

I say we try to get a group to cruise up there and or meet!!

Lets hear from who is interested. Maybe we will get a grill rollin and P A R T Y. :headbang

I was there on Monday and Tuesday for Track Time. Very cool seeing all the trucks coming in and seting up.

Good day. It was neat to check out the cars right before the race. You can talk to the drivers, crew, it's really relaxed.

What kind of planes flew by before the race?

I saw Heat Seeker parked next to an odd green and black LT1 maro, and two stangs. I also saw the geen RX7 which I believe has an LS1.

The Corvette Corral was packed. Two C6 ZO6s were there.

2 c6 z06s???? dang it!!!! I passed it while driving around for parking and forgot to go back and check it out. O well, perfect weather for a great day of racing.

Those A10's were sweet.
Parked on the hill- that Green/Black Z28 you saw was Jeremy's ride, the dark blue Cobra was Larry's (Super Shops), white ZR1 was JP's & Nismo Dave had his 4 door super-phat sedan. Jesse had his Mits VR4 parked elsewhere.
Did touring Sun and ran the heck out of the car the last few laps once the pace car disappeared. Very very happy with the pole climber.

At the end of Sun we were all able to sneak in a lap with the Team Rush guys at the last moment for thier parade lap.

Heck of a good time!

Ouch, us rx7 guys get real sensitive when our car's are called miatas :D

I had my car parked in the "midwest rotary rally" , popped the hood on sunday morning, went for a bike ride and found someone had closed the hood of my "bastardized" mazda. They must have been upset that the rotary powered racecar only lasted a couple laps before engine problems.

Maybe I'll park in the corvette coral next time :banana

I looked everywhere for the heatseeker and Dave's nissan, but couldn't find 'em?

Yep Mike, I had it there. The front fenders and bumper are in dark primer and the hood is raw fiberglass for now. The rat look is doing quite well and I have full confidence in the car again- something I didnt know I would have again after its accident.
Even though it was only "touring", I still was able to run the car very hard for the last 3 laps. Traffic kept our entry speeds to T1 & T5 to about 125 but really pushed it through the turns. We were in a "fast pack" with an M5, 4 Vettes and 2 Vipers. I caught and passed all them but the the Vipers, but within 2 more laps I would have had them too prob. Fun fun fun!
I plan on bringing it up for the Oct RA event.

Dave didn't have the Nissan there.
