I'm having a really bad day

Caledonia Fatal Accident
(Caledonia) A New Berlin man and woman are killed in a collision in Racine County. 49-year-old Jeffrey Metz and 48-year-old Patricia Piche were in an SUV yesterday when it was hit broadside by a dump truck at the intersection of Highway V and Four Mile Road in Caledonia. Police say the two were ejected from the vehicle, which rolled over and pinned them underneath. Both Metz and Piche were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the dump truck, Michael Ney of Burlington, was not injured. The accident remains under investigation.



Patricia is my mom. They were on their way to Jeff's grandmothers funeral in Racine. My mind is a mess right now. There's so much on my plate. My mom is a pillar in our family. It's going to so hard without her. She took care of so much. I haven't told my 5 year old yet. I think that's going to be the hardest part right now. Cole, my son, is with my friend Anthony and his family. Thanks for being there bro.

I can't even begin to think how I feel, much less begin to comprehend to how you must feel.

They were both warm caring people and one could clearly see how close you were to your mom. She truely was one of God's unique humans.

Your mother truely was a great person...it was so much fun talking to her just sunday...I just can't believe this.

Just think of all the good and even the bad times, funny times and down right crazy times, water ballon fights and mom making PBJ's for you when you were little ect. ect.

Take that all in and be proud of being her son (which im sure you are) to many people that I know of think of the day of the accident and nothing else and it eats them alive.

By all means this is just me personally saying this and also doing this when I lost a few family members. It helps the headaches go away.

WTF? I don't know how I managed to miss this thread for four days, but I am truly shocked and saddened by this sudden passing of your loved ones. :( I don't know you personally, Andy, but I've gotten to know most of the regulars through reading this board and I really feel for you. I lost my Dad 10 years ago and not a day goes by that I don't think about him, at least a little. Time will lessen the pain, but it never truly goes away and it's times like this that it hurts the most. Your Mom was obviously a huge part of your life and I'm sure that there is a gaping hole in your heart right now. Always remember the countless good times you had and it will help with the hurt and the emptiness.

My sincerest condolences go out to you and your family. May God bless your Mom and Jeff and speed their journey to Heaven. R.I.P.
