Alright locals, talk to me! :D I got a call when I got out of work, I was notified that gasoline has jumped from 2.35 Regular (2.49 Premium) to 2.49 Regular and 2.65 Premium. Some gas stations are still the cheap price.

I drove home and tried my normal BP/Amoco gas station and they wanted crazy amounts (can't remember). Next gas station (Citgo) was PACKED and had lines and 1-2 people with gas cans too. Price? 2.33 and 2.49 for Premium. I filled up there and had to wait for 3 cars in line and some **** face who cut in front of me because he couldnt decide which side of the car his gas tank was on. Anyway, on the way home I saw a CITGO by the freeway, 2.49 Regular and 2.69 Premium!! Is that the highest any of you ever remember? I can't be sure but I never remember paying that much for Premium.

Glad our government and elected officials are making such effective efforts! :flipoff2: Pretty soon I'll have to swap both my V6's for 4 CYLINDERS... :(

Last night we noticed one station raise it's price so we drove around and looked for the lowest. Got regular in both our cars for 2.27 and got premium in the truck for 2.39. Then we confirmed the one station's move last night when we saw the pumps this morning. That's crazy... hey how bout we raise prices some more and send some aid to africa

It will go down by the end of the weekend probally. All this has to do alot with the London Bombing. I just but 2.6 gallons in my car for $7 at an SA. I believe it was ~$2.65 gallon. People are just panicky chicken littles.

If prices were going up last night how is that connected to the bombing this morning?

I just paid 2.29 for 87 in Walworth county.
They usually go up slower than the Milw. area
It was 2.49 for 87 at the Speedway by my house

THe "gas panic" by the consumers has alot to do with the bombing. If in fact gas was $2.65+ for premium last night at some stations so be it. But I can tell you that I did not see a change on the stations that I drive past everyday and night till this morning. Many people will associate the gas increase with th bombing, coincidence or not.

The prices are going up here in Pensacola too, but that's because of the hurricane. I paid $2.16 for super premium at the Citgo on base this afternoon. When I left base, it was almost $2.80 in town!

Well I can guaran-damn-tee you it was 2.49 (and 2.67 premium) for regular last night at 13th and rawson at 7pm. The mobil across the street was still 2.27 and at 10pm the mobil had changed to match. There's no way it was related to the bombing as it hadn't even happened yet.

There needs to be a ban on gas futures investing.

...So oil prices moved a few dollars a barrel. Per gallon, that should not be more than a dime. But because of the futures market, some piggies on Wallstreet get to pocket an extra 5 pennies per gallon.

Give me my Louisville Slugger...I'll fix this problem.

Actually the prices originally went up due to hurricane Dennis (problems with high winds on some oil rigs or something  ) and after the bombings the futures index actually went down like $3/barrel.

Don't expect to see any relief at the pump anytime soon though

I was in need of gas last night. So I was looking at all the prices on my way home. I live in Muskego and Jetz on the corner of Janesville and Moorland still had the low prices as of 9:30 PM last night, they did not raise prices.

I just picked up a 2005 Anderson Techzilla Composite Killer. Would you like to use that? It could use some breaking in.

If Gas Prices keep rising I will just have to use my bike to go every where this summer. But $2.69 For premium is nuts. Good thing my bike is the only thing that Takes premium. The truck just gets regular.

I just heard a new one, the Refineries down south are shuting down for the Hurricane, they're expecting another jump this weekend when the reserves start to drop...... :crying

Last week I was reading that they were expecting a 20 cent hike......They also said they expected the prices to drop by labor day..... :confused

To resurect the thread.............................In case anyone is still paying attention, while driving from FL to WI I paid as follows: $2.16 (on base in FL so that dosen't really count), $2.67 in northern Alabama, $2.62 just outside of Indy. That's for 93 octane. For 1010 miles, it cost me around $120.00. :fire

No I mean - what vehicle are you putting 110 into? :D I didn't think the Chevelle required it so I wasn't sure what you were doing with it, but I didn't know if you worked on it recently or anything either, so I figured there might be an interesting story either way.
