so i got a '75 trans am today! , yes i know ur jealous, i know ur gonna ask how much i payed for it, well i payed 55 bucks for it, and the 55 bucks is the tow cost to have it flatbeded to my house. The car has been sitting for 20 years, so it has a lot of surface rust, only part that is rotted is the hood(factory shaker too) and the left 1/4 panel. it is a 400 4 speed car, but it doesnt run. interior is good just needs to be cleaned, all in all it needs a lot of work, but its a good project car, and i mean, its free, how could i turn it down? ill have pics sooner or later!

I do hope that you are planning on keeping the 6.6 in it. If that thing hasnt ran in 20 years, you may as well just pop that sucker outta there and get to work. Iam sure every seal and hose is dry rotted but it will make for a good experience on rebuilding it no doubt. What color is it? Iam assuming that the shaker is functional? Trams AM with bird deacls? Nice car to restore man! :thumbsup

no sorry the guy doesnt have any others its nothing really to show off..........yet, it is blue, no decals nor t-tops, shaker is functional,im hoping the 400 will turn over, but looking to do a full rebuild,i do have a 350 4-bolt sittin on a stand so if i need too ill use it, but the 400 is a bad ass motor, the guy said when it ran he could hit 90 in 2nd! Im gonna make it a street car but with some go. When it is complete, me and nick i think will have to cruise together :goof

all in all, it needs to be cleaned up badly, but hey its a free car, and its a 75 trans am!! this is one of 6000 cars because it is a 4 speed

Damn son, you are gonna have to floor up that byotch!!! It could be worse, but by the way that hood looks and rear quarter, you may want to chaeck that frame it could be a little soft and mushy. If it is dont even waster your time on rebuilding it. If you do end up scarpping it I could use some parts off it. Also if you get her up and going gimme a hollar and we'll roll 75' to 75'! :shades I have seriously never seen a hood rot like that? Theres a first for everything. Good luck Kyle!

thanks nick, the underbody is not rotten amazingly, only part is hood, left fender and the bottom of the 1/4, itll take some work, but itll be worth it in the end
