I Got to snap some action in the pit area this weekend in Joliet.
Most of the pics are of Bob Bode's nitro funny car, I was invited to be a guest inside his pit area.
You know you have a bad hot rod when gas masks are neccesary!

I wish it could have been cooler outside but I'm not complaining, they got the event off.
A friend of mine takes care of Alice Bode's Mercedes at the dealer.
Bob gives him full event passes every year, it's a very cool deal.
Bobs family and crew are great people, we'll be back in September!

wow what a small world. My dad has know bob for a long time and we have been going every year since he started the nitro funny car stuff to watch him. What night were you there because we were talking with the head mechanic at Motorwerks on Fri night for almost 30 mins when we were there. Was an awesome weekend for bob as he was able to hang around till sun.

I was at the track on Saturday.
My friend Brian is a service manager at Motorwerks, he was there all day Friday and Saturday. Is that who you were talking to?

Yeah I'm glad Bob made the show on Sunday,those guys work their asses off to compete against the big money teams.
