hmmm yeah he sure answered my question

me: yeah so could i get a vin number off the car please?
should be 17 digits...

dave

VIN Number:1G1YY22G015100467
33866 miles
The car has WA clear title.
The price with all fees included is 17762 dollars.
there will be no other fees because the car has US title and there will be no import
fees or customs.
As long as we are useing the escrow service we are both protected,
and you will have 10 days inspection period before the funds are released to me.

isnt that a lil bull **** nowhere in the ad does it say oh yeah ill have to charge u 1200 dollars to ship it and the real price is 17 something...which is still very cheap for that year of vette with that few of miles. but what was up with beating around the bush for so long just to give me the vin number.

i ran the carfax and it checked out but something just seems fishy with this guy.

Sounds like a reverse Ebay scam, where he wants your money for a car. Probably is no car. His verbage seems odd to for an American. And he only uses a 3rd party for money? Doesn't pass euro standards? What about all the other Americans that have taken Camaros and such over there?

Smells like scam to me

Something does seem fishy about the price but maybe you should check out that escrow place or whatever. I mean if they give u the car and u can inspect it before he recieves your money how can he screw u over? If you dont want it he says refund the money in full. Check into it more before someone else buys it and it was actually a really good deal. Just my opiniun.

SquareTrade Never Takes Payment on Behalf of a Seller:
Scam emails will often request the consumer to pay via a money transfer service, such as Western Union or Money Gram, an escrow service, or by money order. BEWARE! SquareTrade will NEVER act as an escrow agent for a seller and will NEVER hold or transfer money on behalf of an auction or seller.

yup definite scam...

A guy I work with had something like this happen to him just last week...he bought a motorcycle on ebay, it was supposed to be some awsome deal shipped over from Greece, he paid a third party and suddenly none of his contacts worked to get ahold of the guy. He is working with the police but I guess all they've found so far is that the money went to somewhere in Wisconsin and not Greece.

If it is not a scam, the vehicle has a flood damage title or something of that sort.

Reading how he replys to your e-mails, it would have to be a scam. Auto reply mode.

:rolf these scams are hilarious. They are so creative. The europeans do the same thing with camera equipment now. They set up websites with bunk city addresses etc and you paypal them your money and never get your camera equipment. I have read about guys spending thousands on stuff and they never see a UPS shipment

He can pluck any vin off ebay or many other places on the web.

With all the choppy language and seemingly canned auto replies, Ray Charles could see this was a scam. :goof

Yeh that's a scam. That I am a Marine crap and the car is US titled; all sounds fishy. Not to mention Prauge is where some of the worlds finest criminals and scam artists hang out.
Scam, all the way.
