I think ya need a new torque arm bushing :thumbsup
Mines worn out too, whole car lurches when going from reverse to drive and vice-versa.

May I make a suggestion... If your gonna mess around with changing your torque arm bushing you might think about going with an aftermarket torque arm. That is one of the best mods you can do on these cars. I recommend the Spohn torque arm with tranny mount. I have the Spohn Torque Arm and tranny mount and I really like it.

Actually if any of you dont mind about how much would that Spohn piece run ya? My stock torque arm really hates the 350 i swapped in, makes all sorts of disgusting metal warping sounds under heavy throttle. But in answer to the question above it would make a huge difference, reduces wheel hop a lot, especially good if you plan on running more power, delivers a bit more traction, or so i am told.

Oh yeah, for sure. Anything is better than that stamped steel. The Spohn piece comes with the trans mount and even a drive shaft loop all in one. I highly recommend it.
