Engine Rebuild

So i'm thinking i need an engine rebuild not sure but most likely. Anyone know someone who does them? how much? or for a performance rebuild?

Well, I'd be sure if it really needed a rebuild or not first. Syptoms etc..??

Could be a loose timing chain or alot of things.

If you're sure you need to rebuild, do it yourself. Send the block out for machining and hot tank etc.. and assemble it yourself. Good books on "How to rebuild a SBC" out there - not trying to sound like an a** here, but it's true. My first rebuild was an old Dodge 318...I followed my "How to" book and learned alot. Ran great after the rebuild too!!

I've rebuilt a few since then (for me only)!!

Or just buy a crate engine. A few are almost the same price as you could do it yourself (donate your core)....Performance ones also....for a nominal fee... :thumbsup
