"rebuild" your engine? How many miles did you have on your stock engine Tom?

I am not going to go to the track Tuedsay, since the race is postponed. Let me know when you guys decide to run...

Tom... check out http://www.rockauto.com

Their prices are usually right on par with GMPartsDirect and shipping is cheap. They are based in Madison.

Yeah it lost a intake valve spring (Comp 921), valve kissed piston, broke chunk of piston out, just bent valve and fubared the head. Its got 37,000 on the engine.

I was gonna try to slam it back together with some used stock parts, but shipping costs/delivery dates are outrageous, and the rings someone can get me sooner but that wont help if the piston doesnt get here till the 1st.

plus im not 100% sure if the sleeve is cracked or not yet, ive got borrow and pick up and engine puller tonight. didnt happen last night.

I PM'ed Ian letting him know whats up each step of the way so far... so yeah were simply just gonna have to reschedule, well settle on a date once im 100% sure the engine is useable yet.

Sigh,

if they would have just gone at the originally planned date of the 31st, oh yeah that's right.

Unfortunate things happen in this hobby, it's not one side or the other's fault.
