I just bought a HPI savage 25 1/8th scale truck, and this thing srecams!! It's nitro powered of course. I took it off a few jumps at 25-30 mph flip through the air land on it's roof and keep going like it was no big deal. this thing is tough, VERY fast, the only down side is its pretty loud, tons of fun, it just dosn't get old! I race r/c cars in the winter at ABC hobbies in downtown waukesha cause there isn,t much to do in the winter, and it's 2miniutes from my house. so is anybody else got any r/c cars that they drive at all? just curious, I like cars and little one's too! It would be cool to get a bunch of guys together and race small cars, and it's legal too! :banana

same here, had a Team Losi LXT and the Duratrax LXT gas conversion way back before 1/10th scale trucks were available in gas power. hd a TON of other high end race cars, my favorite being an Associated RC10LSS stock car. that thing was quicker than my gas trucks.

if you are interested in a nitrous kit for your gas truck, let me know(seriously), hahaha

Yea, I used to race pan cars. That was a fun hobby. Now just for fun I have a Losi XXXT Nitro. It's to fast to control really. I can be ripping across a smooth parking lot at half throttle, mash on it and pick the front wheels up almost to the point that it flips over backwards. It's always broken because it's just too fast. :thumbsup

Anybody remember the old inside rc course that was in North Prarie down the road from Bills gas station? I believe the place is an ice cream shop or something like that now. I use to go there and race rc cars when I was younger. I believe I use to have an rc10 with an aluminum underbody? My brother gave it to me cause he got a new one, man was it ever fun racing those things, it was an asphalt trck too. :thumbsup

I was just about to post the same question today! I bought a 2.5 Traxxas T Max on monday, damn i love it! Next door to my work there is a guy who built a race track for his kid for his motorcross bike, and now they moved and i have connections with the new people so i get to use it...maybe we should get a bunch of people together to enjoy the hobby.

I have an Ofna 9.5 MBX buggy, no hop ups really except for:
~Hi-Tech hi tq steering servo
~Super packed diffs (axle grease)
~3 sets of wheels with different tires (really big nobs, alot of small nobs, and somewhat road/offroad rally tread)
~Reachargable 6v receiver pack

The only downside is the only fuel I can find over here is 25% or less. When I first got it I had a gallon of 40%, oh boy did the .26 love it!!!!!!

I also have two decked to the max Tmaxxes. One with a .21 and one with an O.S. .15 (1.25hp). (back in the states tho)

you want to get real old school?? Anyone remember Trackside when it was behind Classic bike shop in the Falls? I started racing there back in the 80's, then moved onto carpet oval, raced dirt oval and off-road. I'm usually up at Trackside practicing on the dirt track on thursdays (11am-2pm). If you're up there on a thursday morning/afternoon and see someone sitting close to the off road track with a yellow box and green/blue/white truck say hi.

don't get me started on planes.....

2 P-51 Mustangs (1 with retractable gear, flaps, bomb drop, so heavy it can't fly)
1 Corsair
1 P-38 Lightning

then of course the Trainer "Cessna" lookalike and lat but not least

the stunt biplane!!! this thing is wicked in a snap roll. first time i did it i thought it broke apart midair :)

used to fly, that got way too expensive. Aurora Pattern plane- fiberglass fuselage, balsa covered foam wings, retractable landing gear, 120 4-stroke fuel injected supercharged engine, PCM 9 channel radio......all that hi-tech crap and I still had trouble keeping it out of the trees.

I didn't know there were some flyers here!

If I read that correctly, you said the 1.2 EFI! Is it the OS? IMO- one of the best engines out there! Happen to have anything in the .60-.90 range for sale?

The plane above is a mini telemaster.

Flying RC was something I was good at from my first flight. I started when I was 15 and to date have built over 15 planes intended to be RC, 10 were actually framed up, and about 4 of them are within flying condition right now. Since 1997, I have only managed to crash one of my planes. I wouldn't call it pilot error, more like a power loss on takeoff (ESC cutout).

If you want to see an awesome build, check out this 3.7 meter Airbuss 380! This thing is nutz! Allmost completely made out of depron, the plane is supposedly ultra-light for its size. Power will come from 4 ducted fan motors powered by lots of LiPos! http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=326061

The 9ch transmitter was my last investment.

I've got an old school T-maxx that I haven't touched in 2 years. Just sits in my room. I've got an M-16 with a bunch of other misc. mods. How much do you think I could sell it for? Or maybe it would be a usefull toy in college.

Haha I thought I was the only one who still had one of the orignial TRX .15 t-maxx's!

Before it went into hybernation it had:

Recharable 6v receiver pack
O.S. .15CV-RX (1.2hp pullstart)
MIP Stinger Pipe
Cirrus Hi-tq steering servo
Alum 3 spoke wheels w/ masher 2000 tires
RPM Nylon A-arms
Traxxas Big bore shocks (A MUST HAVE FOR JUMPING)
JR Racing 2 Channel Radio
Robinson Racing alum tranny gears
Robinson Racing Steel Spur gear
MIP Steel CVD's F/C/R

Now that its out I got a silver rollcage, rear dual exhaust pipe, and a full stainless screw kit!

I also have a .21 tmaxx that I never finished. Just needs to be put together :(

The jato's nice but just look at the tmaxx or revo!!! The suspension travel is where its at!! Also take not to those videos of the revo. Thats one truck that will outlast its owner :goof

But really a low useage to new tmaxx can be bought EXTREMELY cheap on ebay. And they're like to honda civic of hobby world, the aftermarket is insane!

I'm currently looking into a .40 4stroke conversion for mine, then getting one of those mini centrifigul superchargers for it!

ps my friends lil bro used to have a nitro stampede, well it was always getting stuck since it was 2wd.

I've always wanted a Nova Rossi engine!!! One of those small turbo .15's that crank power like a .21!!! :headbang

Although they sure are a pretty penny! I dunno how it would be on offroad. I hear they have really crappy bottom end.

Well the word is it does work, awsomely to say the least. The problems is it causes the engine to run lean. The thing is it applys on full throttle so you can richen your high speed needle for the nos!
