Finally got my new dedicated flash unit yesterday and got to screw around a little bit this morning.

Here is one from my High Speed Sync tests.

Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 MkII (in manual focus mode)
Canon 550EX Speedlight (used off shoe ;) ) E-TTL HS Mode
1/750 sec @ f/4.5
ISO-400
Slight curves and USM in PS

Not bad at all.

Where is a good source for Canon EF and EF-S lenses? I just bought my first Canon (Digital Rebel XT 8mp), and I need some lenses other than the 18-55mm it came with. I usually buy my stuff from Colony Camera, as my Film camera is a Minolta.

I tend to like B&W photos, here are two with just the stock camera and flash. Nothing great, still getting use to it.

Thanks for all the compliments guys but I am not really interested in competing with J. He's got some awfully good stuff too. I'm just sharing some of the limelight is all :shades

I have bought some stuff from both buydig.com and cametacamera (eBay). Both have good prices and I have had excelent service from both as well. Haven't I seen you on a photoforum somewhere recently?
