Are the 700R4 cores 2WD or 4WD? What year (87 or newer?)

And are they totally destroyed or just slipping?

I'm looking for something to pull apart and examine but a catastrophe inside probably wouldn't help me. Let me know, thanks.

i might be interested in one of the trannys also. why are they cores?

Both are 2wd trannys. The one is a 90, and i am not sure on the the other, could go and check what year it is. Both trannys worked fine in 1st, reverse and 2nd with no slippage, but i had a bad kickdown cable, so i dont know how they work in 3rd or 4th. Im selling them as cores, since they have been sitting outside, and i cannot guarantee 3rd or 4th works.

do the 700r4s have a crossmember? how about shifter? i believe my t5 torque arm will work. i'm looking to swap from a t5 to an auto. if you have some of these items i'll probably buy a trans off of ya.

Monstr913- yeah, i still have them sitting behind my truck. Three are on some old rusty 8 lug rims, and one is not on a rim.

Loud91- sorry dude, I dont have any of that stuff, just the trannys. Oh yea, forgot to mention that 1 of the trannys is missing a tailhousing.

The tires are 12.5" wide, i can measure the rims tomorrow if ya want. The rims look like 9.75" wide, because the sidewall doesnt bow in, but then again i only have 3 rims and not 4.

Nope, still sitting in a box ready to go, everything that you should need is there except the wire harness is kinda hacked up.
