so i went to taco johns to grab some dinner(which i found hair in so didnt eat) but on the way back im goin down sentry drive(kinda a back business rd) theres two other cars w/ me, theres a newer accord in front of me in the right lane, me in the left lane, and a old lady in a buick century, i guess 20 over wasnt fast enough for her, so she went to pass me,i took her to about 85!! she had to get on the brakes to miss rear ended the accord,so what do i do, slow down and go the speed limit next to the accord so she couldnt pass finally hit sunset and she turned left when i went right, ooooo pissin old ladies off is so fun somtimes

You know, I'd like to laugh along with ya, but being an ole guy and all I am inclined to say that your little stunt was foolish. Yeah, she shouldnt have been speeding and all, but she could have gotten nervous and caused an accident then what? What if it were your little old mom? Just my opinion of course ;)

Usually I would agree with Yoo but old people seem to be getting worse and worse when it comes to driving lately. I would have been happier in your situation as I am always caught behind the ones that do 30mph getting on the freeway. :chair:

On Saturday, I was stuck behind some middle-aged fatty who drove her kia rio at 50 mph in the fast line on I43 south bound. I flashed my headlights a few times and then beepped my horn breifly. She didn't move untill I started to wave my hand to signal her.

Fat & dumb, what more can I say?

I totally agree that old people suck at driving. Hell if it were up to me, I would madate a driver retest every year once you hit 60yrs old and at 50 if you wear glasses. I just pass them by or let them pass just to avoid accidents.

On the way home from your house saturday I swear I almost got in like 3 accidents soley from old people driving slow, or braking extremely ******* early

The best is when the old person (or many times a woman) comes to a COMPLETE STOP on an onramp. :fire

Oh I agree with you. I got to the DMV quite often and I do not know how many times I have been in line and see older people taking the eye exam and if they mess up the person behind the counter keeps telling them to try again. If I had that many chances I am sure they could get it right by guessing!

I think it's just funny to watch old people try to drive. 90% of the time you can merely look at a car and tell it belongs to some old person, and it would seem that the larger the car ,the older the "silver" at the wheel.

I love to annoy the crap out of old people with my side exit exhaust. I drive right next to them and downshift. They get annoyed as hell and just stare at me all stale. Heh.

funny story all n all but i gotta say my parents are "up" there in age and they are excellent drivers no accidents or any tickets or anything so I dont think its fair to generalize that all elder people cant drive worth sh!t.. And I realize I'm being biased here but it's true .. I know what you mean though I myself witnessed an old lady get into an accident i think it was last year i was coming home from detention i was in the middle lane blazer on my right and another suv on my left .. the suv on my left sped up .. i slowed down .. but the poor guy in the red blazer never saw her coming.. She crossed over and hit him head on and took out a street sign.. And by the way she was driving a brand new maroon impala at the time .. talk about people who shouldn't be driving.. :fire

Well that's fine that your parents drive well, I in fact am happy to hear that they can, but the overwhelming majority of old people are more road hazards than they are good drivers. I have been saying a long time there should be a manditory road test every 2 years after 65 and every 5 years for everyone else (some could probaby use it). If you're a good driver, you should still have no problem passing the tests.

That great to hear but come on now they are the minority. Is it fair to give teenagers higher insurance rates but completely ignore old people? I am sure there are very safe teen drivers out there too but again they are the minority as well so the old folks should get treated just the same as high risk.

funny story all n all but i gotta say my parents are "up" there in age... :)I'm curious...what are their ages? You being born in 1987, and even if I assume they were 40ish in '87 that makes them less than 60yrs old. I'd like to think thats hardly "old people" in a lot of people's opinion. ;)

Teenagers get in the most accidents, and hence, their insurance is higher.

(guessing)
As for old people. Most of them have been paying for insurance since they were teenagers and could have probably gone 25 years without an accident. From the insurance companies perspective, they have paid over 200% of their vehicles value without one claim. So why should they complain.
