Honestly, every time I walk through the car show area, I get embarrassed I'm an "import" guy. Then to top it off 1/2 the guys (even WAY into the day of open runs) don't even know how to stage their car!!!! I just drop my head in my hands... Have these guys EVER watched 5 minutes of drag racing before? Then there are the guys with entirely stripped interiors, fart can mufflers, ricey tailights which make me shake my head. I figure, since I am an import guy, I have the right to beat the living **** out of the guys driving those cars. I also laugh a lot, when a guy driving an Evolution runs a high 14 because he can't drive gets run down by a Integra, and his friends were sitting close to me go, "dude, he ran down an Evo, I told you that Integra has mad top end!", which bothers me since those kids just don't realise the guy in the Evo can't drive. However, there were several fast 240's running into the low 12's, and that one black Evo which ran a best of 11.2 when I left. Whenever I go to these events, I feel like wearing a shirt that says, " Yes I drive an import, but I promise I'm not an idiot."

I wouldnt say several 240s in the 12s .....just 2....I keep an eye on the Comp...

But yea I agree the car show was nothing but scissor door J bodys.

I cant beleive some of the poor taste used here.

And 50% of the people racing didnt know how to stage. It was embbarassing. :chair:

Black Evo running 11.2 hmmm....where was this car from. WI or IL?

The # of EVOs and WRX/Stis was staggering.

I dont think so......Most evos stis were in the 13s and were modded. :confused

Figures, most people buy them, mod them as they would a Honda, and then do not even bother to learn how to launch an AWD car.

Most of the WRX/STi that I am aware of around here that are driven by decent drivers only do AutoX.

Makes me wish I was not afraid to take off my Blizzaks. O well, I will just have to wait till June to get my rear out there.

the car show had some awesome cars in it. and some cars that made me imbarresed (sp) to be in the import scene. man it was a great day though i got a nice sun burn :(

When I see a G35 coupe, it makes me still wish that we had not traded my wife's 03.5 Carribean Blue G35 coupe in. Of course, than I remember that Infiniti service SuCKS (Especially at IA), and that is why we traded it in.

The G35coupe does have an amazing exhaust note though.
