well im wondering is anyone running their car without any cats and what do u guys do when comes down to doing emissions?im running a mac off road h-pipe without cats.can anyone help me out.thanks

When I bought my car I didnt know that the cat was gutted so I went to get it tested for emmisions and the only thing I passed was the gas cap pressure :rolleyes: Instead of messing around the the DMV I just got a high flow cat welded in and passed with flying colors.

ODBII?? (that might only be 97 and newer... I could be wrong on that)

as long as your car doesnt through any codes... they wont sniff it.

You need O2 spoofs or as Mustang guys call them MIL eliminators

Well mines a 96 and they did hte plug test @ emissions so 96 and newer :)

Its 96 and newer. We drive 95 and older vehicles and if you dont have a cat on there it wont pass.

Yeah my TA was a 95 and they put it on the rollers

Nope, Well I was suprised that I failed (I didnt know the cat was gutted) so I asked the guy what went wrong and he looked under and said he had no clue. I still had the cat on but it wasn't doing any good. Plus its usually kids working there. If you fail, you fail they can't penalize you for failing there. They will just try to make you fix it. There are ways around it :goof

ha, not quite, my accord with a DC header, completely gutted cat (it was a tin can) and thermal muffler passed with flying colors, i was amazed

I use 02 simms and I passed fine. Nobody checked underneith though :goof
