great day...great weather. Didn't get any good runs with Steve's modded SRT-4 but had a good time anyways. Lots of F-bodies and Fox bodies down there....here are a few random shots. Take note of the 10.60 @ 145 Lexus SC 300. Very cool car :thumbsup

saw you there.....you were in the staging lanes one time in the afternoon right ahead of my friend Steve in his blue turbo Neon...car looked nice by the way. Sorry I didn't get any shots of it, I had already filled up my memory card and I forgot my other one at home :crying

That Factory5 Cobra was cool. So was the owner and the group he rode up with. I raced that car with my Mach1.
Great day for racing, unless you were the yellow Z06 owner... :(

Well since J is talking about my SRT-4, I will put my 1st post in here. My first trip at GLD was pretty bad. J actually ran my car better than I did (pulled a 14.1). My best was a 14.3@102. I won't even comment on my 60ft because they were terrible. but it was an awesome time. I will probably go more often this summer to improve my times. Maybe let J drive, he has a better chance to get into the 13's.....lol.

yeah steve it was fun....its tough your first time out. Your car COULD go 13.50's with a decent 60ft. But I'm telling you, your car is ALMOST impossible to launch well. That 14.1 was a poor launch, quick shifting high trap speed pass. Practice is all you need. Your car has a LOT of power but we were losing a ton of the cars potential on the forst 60 feet.....which is EXACTLY what I posted last week when Isaid we were going.... :)

It took me all day to get back in the 12's. I was stuck on 13.0x, made a pass near closing time and went 13.02, so I decided to get in the Pro Tree lane. I ran behind 5 big-tire cars that laid down a sweet groove.
Wound it up and let it go. :D

Made a huge difference in 60 foot time, that's for sure. :headbang
This car has stock motor, stock gears & exhaust, nothing but a EEC re-flash and a K/N. (And those bald drag radials I was running on)

It's tough to 60-foot well when it's that busy and there's so many street cars. Give the track time to "season" also, it will get better.

Racing at the dragstrip is where it's at. Hope you guys enjoyed yourselves. If you ever have a problem with GLD, let me know about it and I'll talk to the bosses.

That sc300 lexus is supra powered btw has the motor and trans. with the new set-up it has it should go into the 9's

we enjoyed ourselves. Great weather a nd a fun day of racing. We didn't set any records but it was nice to be out there.

Josh, never saw that C6 run. It just looked super purty sittin there so I had to snap a pic. I'm a sucker for Vettes.
