View Full Version : Went to GLD Sunday

Had a good time. Saw a bunch of nice F-bodys, the fastest ones were in the 11s, one head and cammed ls1 along with a thirdgen with a 400 sbc. Something's wrong with my car, the rpms dropped around 3 grand in second gear and it hesitated from time to time. I need to find a way to get a fuel pressure gauge hooked up. Was anyone there today?

I was there from about 10:30 to 3 or so. It seemed more crowded today that opening day(last sat.). They seemed to really push people along today. The moment both cars were staged the tree started. 2 runs I didn't even have a chance to spool the turbo :fire . I ran a hair slower than last sat. but my trap speed was up a 1mph on most runs.

i was also at GLD with the blue Grand Prix and ran a new best of 12.482@110.05 :D

Holy smokes - you ain't foolin' around! Do you have a cam in that thing? Race fuel? Has any GTPs ran that fast of MPH around here?

I beleave Nitrous on this bored has ran faster in his GTP. he lives a few minutes away from me.

Josh, yes, most, if not all GTP owners run race gas at the track, it clears out the knock retard very well, which is a B1tch to tune out...... and yes they move just fine, i'm hopin for a mid-high 13 with VERY little money invested....

It is cammed and some P&P ed cyl heads from www.ZZPerformance.com.
I ran on 100 octane unleaded race gas.I'm still learning how to tune with this new set up so 11's will happen real soon,i'm going to a Grand Prix event next weekend in Michigan.
I was there from 9-3
Right now i am the fastest Grand Prix on the WICGP board but things will chance soon with Gabe and a few others.

I was there from about 10:30 to 3:00. The lanes were moving good in the morning, but slowed down alot in the afternoon.

Yep, that should be the fastest time in WI for a GTP, nice times fred, wish I could've been there a bit sooner to help you with the tuning :goof , I could've set you straight with that ICCU...hehe, I'll be gunning for ya in a few weeks so you better bring it at MGM in the coming weeks...
