Maybe they work for free.considering a gallon of ppg-or dupont clear is 220$ then any color of paint is 140min --unless you use some crappy 5star clear or transstar witch isnt very UV stable -dunno -I know i couldnt do it for that--I dont think keith either could do it for that --unless its just a scuff and paint resale car--Even I do not like to do that -even if thats all they want and in the winter you have heating exspenses ect.

Seeing the way she blasted you in the other thread Andy I retract all of my "constructive" critisism about her site.

If you can't take the fact that it looks like crap little chicky you need to go away.

I've seen Diana's camaro in person and the paint job does kick ass. Ok, so maybe she can't make a great website, but she can paint a whole lot better than most of you!! :headbang

I don't know...I was known to do a pretty kick-@$$ job of fingerpainting in kindergarten. My teacher told me I was 'special'.

Hey andy...can I be a technical advisor at your new shop? :goof

I specifically stated that I do not know the quality of her work.
I fix/build computers and networks. I dont advertise about certs that I do not have. That doesnt mean I cannot do the work. I'll be the first to say experience is worth more than a piece of paper.

I say again, it's her reputation that precedes her. I have had communication with multiple people regarding un-related events.

I am the greatest! :goof The lawnmower says all!

...as for that page, is she just doing this as a hobby? I'm sorta in the same boat.

As for costs, I already made my first underquote. I'd say that my average earning was about 3$/hr.

I jacked up my prices and almost all business disappeared...but I am making more money than ever.

As for $1k, that is about what I would charge for a scuff and spray. Body work costs more. So I'd say that the price is reasonable. That includes using PPG Omni rather than the name brand so that the profit margin is pretty big. I could spray down a large sedan for about $225 with the omni line.

With all of my prijects lately, I have yet to finish using my first gallon of omni clear. Once it is gone, I'm buying the expensive stuff.

If she can paint so good does she do this for a living or out of some back alley hack garage? Looks like some competition for the real painters here.
