Wow, Friday was fun. Pity my rotors warped by the end of the day preventing me from running today too, grr. Hell of a time!! A+ for NASA! Had an awesome instructor too (Wage Gagrich) who cured me of a few bad habits...

What are average times for ra?
I've never really timed myself or anyone else.

Its all in the hawk pads :D

I think "average" is in low 3's (for HPDE1 and 2). ?? High 2's for HPDE3 and 4?? Just a hunch.
Considering, the FASTEST HPDE time the WHOLE weekend was 2:31 by Damien in his RX-7, 2:41 in a STOCK SS seems umm.. well. you serious? lol. NOT calling it bogus or anything, but man... That's just incredible if it's true, wow. Must be some good driving. Kudos.

Yes sir Serious!
i am in the TT series, Time Trial series,
Class = C which is Stock SS Camaro,
and i had a transponder on my car, so i have the time sheets to prove it!
:)
I did not see Damian on the time sheets, so he was not useing a transponder. so how does he know his times?
Now Bruce in the 2000 cobra R, did a 2:38 with his transponder.
YES, most people & cars are in the 3:05 to 3:15 range,
with the faster HPDE 4 & TT drivers getting into the 2:50's.
The guys with the High HP ZO6's & such, Prolly could go into 2:40's
with more practice.
:banana
Thanks for the Kudos, Jesse
:thumbsup

Lawrence sent out an email this morning with the fastest times of the weekend that's how I know. ;)
Hmm well, I guess you're just a tad (heh) more skilled than the typical HPDE driver is (or is it balls?). I thought you ran in HPDE 3 or 4 or something, didn't know you do NASA Time Trial events. Isn't that "big time"? LOL. I haven't even begun looking at that stuff yet. You obviously have lots of track expereince then I'm assuming. 2:41 in a stock car, lol, I still can't get over that.
Hey Mike. I'd like to PM you about a quirk with my car. I need a knowledgable road-racing guy to help me diagnose something in my suspension. Do you mind if I run it by you?

Mike I talked to Damian before the motor went poof. He had his own personal timing equipment and he already hit that time.
Still great times though, I see you beat your time that we seen. Good Job.

WOW those things have a 100 rating treadwear!
The Toyo® Proxes RA-1, a DOT-approved competition tire designed specifically for improved touring racing and autocross.
I'm sure those would bump you up a class in your racing legue.
btw whos damiam and what kinda car was it?
SSmike1
04-12-2005, 05:17 PM
yes
you are correct in MC midwestern council,
that would bump me up to P prepared class.
BUT
i was running with NASA
http://www.racenasa.com/
they allow you 14 points, before ya bump into next class,
so i bought used TOYO RA1's
and lowered my laps times 7 seconds over my street tires!!!!!!!
