Well as i get up this morning i see these outragous gas prices and almost puke! Considering i have to put in premium due to the requirement of my car and the fact i get 16 mpg its really making me consider getting a metro! wtf! Is there any reason why the gas prices are so horrible in this state? When i lived in FL the prices were like 20 cents a gallon less which doesnt make any sense at all with all the tourists and stuff.

I've gotten use to it. Best thing to do is dont look at the signs. If I put over 130miles on my truck and if the price is between $13-$17 I dont cry about it. Ill start crying if it gets to be $20 to fill up

Because everyone and their uncle has their fingers in our gas prices (taxes).

Makes me anxious to get the Mustang out. Even on premium, it's still cheaper to drive than the truck.

its unfortunate when a 4 cylinder eclipse is getting "8" miles per gallon...especially with these friggin prices rising...pretty soon it will almost be the same price as race gas if you buy it by the drum....i must say i'm pissed about gas prices rising. the news said this morning to expect 25cents increase over the next 10 days..... :fire

I heard yesterday that prices were going up to 2.50/gal for regular but didnt think it was true. I filled up last night with regular at 2.04/gal, tonight I paid 2.38/gal for premium....that sucks! Our Durango was already filling up at $47 a tank at 2.05/gal I dont even want to know how much it will cost at $2.50/gal.  :fire

It's about 24$ to fill up my integra and when I am good to it, I get about 30-32 mpg.

I'm in favor of drilling in Alaska and under LAKE MICHIGAN.

Also, that whole hydrogen fuel cell technology will bring CHEAPER mileage where it stands RIGHT NOW.

I think Death Valley should be turned into a 300 square mile solar field used to turn sunlight and water into hydrogen gas. Then we would actually have a use for that piece of real estate. Also, the water could be piped in from the pacific ocean 200 miles away for free due to Death Valleys low elevation. Salt water and issue? No way, in fact, that would be an easy way of getting salt too.

dude that corn gas was MONEY. i ran it all the time when i went to platteville, (worked on the border of iowa) my accord got the best mileage it ever got using that stuff, and when we took the head off later, it was pretty clean for having 168k on it

Someonw will eventually attack some of the opec people.

As for the increase in crude prices, when prices were 1.00$ a gallon, the price per barrel of crude was about $17/gal(?), or about $0.30/ gal. The rest of the price was due to shipping ($0.02) and refinement and markups.

With the prices of crude now higher at $40-50/gal, that means less than $1.00/gal. For the previous additional costs, we should be at 1.70/gal MAX because those rates have not changed.

Those people who are getting rich right now are those who invest in PETROLEUM FUTURES. (little f*ckers!).
