I wish they were cheaper, they look like a lot of fun. Look at all the functional parts on the viper V-10 model. the videos are a must watch. :wooo

Very nice.

I'm hoping to someday build the inline 4 cyl engine I designed for my rc planes.

Currently, the design is 2 cu. in. with a bore and stroke of 9/16ths inches and a rod/stroke ratio of 1.75.

My big issue with the design is that I am debating on either an OHC or OHV. Most likely, it will be an OHV because I do not want to have to deal with a timing belt.

Also, it has to be water cooled because I do not like the cylinders farther back being warmer than the front ones.

Other notes:
-ABC construction: Aluminum block, Bronze sleeves, Chrome-plated piston
-Cylinder sleves not part of the block (separate material)
-single piece main bearing for all cylinders integrated into oil pan (not really an oil pan because it will run off of a fuel/oil mix)
-4 piece crank (separated at the main bearings, this will allow for me to use a ball bearing at the main bearings and simplify crank construction)
-comp. not decided yet because fuel type not decided.
-2 valves/cyl
-17,000k rpm if a "glow" model like an RC car engine.
-expect 5-8 hp

If all goes well, I will build a V12 for a later model (1/5 scale spitfire or 1/5 scale P51 mustang).
