It is a 88 with 80,000 miles needs some bodywork, mint mint interior, new tires, power everything. Have some problems with passenger side window track. Buy it now for $800

The 88 is champagne in color. with matching interior. It was my mothers car and I did all the work on it myself. Don't know if that means anything or not. The car was previously owned by an old lady whose son was a ford mechanic. She litterally drove the car to church and back only!!! I am not kidding about that. I put a new water pump, new cat back exhaust(factory style) It has an exhaust leak right where the manifolds meet the y-pipe. Newer front brakes. any more questions or if you want to see it let me or underpsi know. thanks

Yes, i have the supercharged V6. As for GTPs, I will waste stock ones, and hang with modded ones. only one i lost to was at the track and he pulled like a 11.99. Its a fun car for a daily driver. not to many people know what they are, especaily when u hear the wine under the hood.

i thought those cars ran like mid 15s stock. i could be wrong, i just know every one i have raced has seen nothing but tailights.

What times are you running at the track?

they do run 15s stock, but like GTP's, they r easily modded hehe, drop on a pulley and a few other basic mods and WOOOM, u got one fast street car

theavenger333
02-25-2005, 01:13 PM
well yeah i realize that about mods, he appeared to say stock for stock he whooped on a GTP. they run around 14.8-9 stock. i'd just like see what mods he has and times hes running.

Bone stock i pulled a 15.1 @ 93 Now im doing 13.78 at 102. Best thing about the cars is the toqure, ET is made up in short track which is whats cool. I do like GTPs, but i do not like the front wheel drive, or the auto trans. the only reason y id take a xr7/ sc is because i like the 315 ft/lbs to set u back in the seat on a launch.

wait, you are telling me both the V8 and blown 3.8 tbirds put down 315 lb/ft?

sriddccrocks
02-27-2005, 03:22 PM
the 4.6 made 265 ft-lbs, 5.0 made 275 ft-lbs, id take a mn12 over a grand prixe also cuz RWD is more fun, just wish i had a posi

hehe mines babied, never seen snow, but right now the tranny is messed up, slips sooooo bad, these cars r very overrated i think, for the price u can get 1 u can find a very affordable V8 RWD car, and still get 17 MPG(depending on driving style of course) nidex did u go to west??

Yeah. Who might you be?

Back when I had that car I beat the hell out of it. You probably saw me doing random brakestands and/or donuts around the school.

And if by 'overrated' you mean 'underrated' then no. Don't get me wrong, I love those cars, I had 2. But it's nothing special. Just because it's V8 and RWD doesn't make it fast, you still have a car that weighs 4000lbs. The best I ever ran with my Thunderbird 4.6 was a 15.8.

It wasn't so much that, it was the fact that I was sitting there waiting to move, and the kids that attended the little 'event' (who were sitting next to, and behind my tires) thought it would be funny to throw things at my car.

So I thought it would be funny to throw rubber chunks in their face.

Leave it to greg to regulate in the parking lot. just like the time some football players took your parking spots.
