If you want I'll let you pay me to take the toshiba laptop and smash it with a sledge hammer. That's about all they're worth.

5 of the 6 we've purchased at work in the last year have been in for a major repair, both tecras and satellites (4 of them were in for motherboards, another one had 2 motherboards replaced) all 5 have been in for drive replacement at least once, plus one with an inverter problem, another with a bracket for the video that was not installed from the factory, and yet another for a modem replacement. Even the tech at the toshiba warranty service center here told me if the satellite I brought in was his, he'd run it over with his car first. There are two that had multiple hard drive replacements and both are showing signs of a third as of this week. Toshiba's laptops as of the last year or two are absolute crap.

The old ones are ok, and the desktops seem to be decent.
