Hi there,

JD here from Waukesha County....

If any of you live west of 'sha lets cruise!

:thumbsup

OK well maybe this will generate some interest...I know it not an integra or a cookie cutter fox body, firebird, etc but here goes:

Big Block
4 Gears
Sure Grip rear

Manual steering, brakes, and not much else.

Oh, and of course, much like any other internet safe racer, "my car is stock*.

Btw, is this of of those "pump gas" sites?

Did you ever get the backfiring through the carb issue fixed w/ the new motor?

My ancient mill is about 12.8:1, hence my desire to keep the cruising local, lol.

yes sir, I sure did :thumbsup

It was not one, but two wiped cam lobes. It was a hughes cam, and I followed the the break-in procedure as best I could when breaking it in...but *sigh* Maybe the lifter bores aren't as straight and true as they once were? Maybe it was the product itself...it's the newer hughes cams too...max max max velocity lift cam.

I've now got a smaller, older cam from the first build up...and just for fun and curiousity as I am not going to leave this cam in forever, I installed it 4 degrees advanced...just to see how it rides and drives. It's pretty cool. Goes pretty good for not tunning the carb, finding optimum timing (by ear so far, lol), setting optimum curve, or using my FBO chrome box and HO coil...all things I plan to work on when I have more time in the spring. I est high 13's as it sits....

look forward to checking out the car this spring :thumbsup

Nope. Don't know him. Unless they're in my neighborhood and like to drink beer, chance are I don't know them, hehe.

So.....

if the weather ever gets decent do you guys want to take a tour, thinking a nice ride in the country and maybe a little friendly two lane action...maybe start in h-town and work our way west? I really don't like to ride into town (even hartland) due to many resident equipment violations (wipers, exhaust, etc). Although, there are a few cars around h-town I'd like to see on the street, including one very wavy 65 plymouth driven by some gut in a cowboy hat.

warning: be on the lookout for the red '65 buick sky-lurk. You don't want any and neither do I!
