The stress of the shock helped break the rusted metal off, needless to say the car is quite bouncy in the rear now :D. Good thing it only needs to last me a couple more months....

Oh yea, its a 1987 Cavalier for those that don't recall seeing this bad boy:

I had that happen on a front shock on my diesel Chevette. a little creative welding took care of it.

Pour some water into the kitty litter and form some new wheel well when it starts to clump :goof

Wow thats cool looks like you may have a slight water leak in the trunk now.
At least you have exhaust, my muffler rotted off last weekend on my beater its a little noisey but only at acceleration :goof

I think the thing broke because it couldn't handle the new-found power afforded by the new manifold. To much unibody twisting going on...I told you you need sub-frame connectors, but nooooo, you had to do it your way :goof

Not as many snow banks like last winter....but a few ;). With the help of a friend I'm going to get that fixed somewhat, not restored to perfection by any means. For doing a circle track making left hand turns that shock being connected will be important :banana . Good thing I already planned to Enduro it in summer, car wouldn't be road worthy realistically for next winter or be very *sellable*(is that even a word). Not that I'd want to drive a true beater anymore...hopefully I can upgrade to a decent beater.
