Pontiac G6 -WTF!!!

I saw this thing at the Chicago car show last year and the year before that.
When it was a concept it was supposed to be like a GTP with all wheel drive.

3.5L 200 horse FWD is a pretty far cry. Its just another GP GT.
The manual paddle shifting is already on the GPs

One nice thing about it is that it is smaller than the GTP's....being more inline with the stratus/contour sized cars that pontiac didn't really have before, as the GTP was more taurus/intrepid sized.

I do think that it is a more handsome car than the similar chevy malibu.

I wonder why the 3.5 is the only v6 offered? Why not the new "high value" 3.9 liter?

Now, what's the deal on the 3.9 too? Is that a LS 5.3 motor with two cylinders loped off? I saw somewhere that it said "like it's big brother, the LS v8's". Anyone know?

The 3.9 at least would have 240hp/245ft-lbs in it's favor.

BTW, a very accord-esque looking G6 coupe will be coming out...and a GTP version with said 3.9 will be available. :thumbsup
