Today is the last day of checking/posting on these forums for a little bit. Tomorrow I go in for Surgery to fix my shoulder. Depending on how bad it is I am looking at 2 to 6 weeks of beeing out of work. So maybe next week I will be posting. It might take me a little bit to type something because I will only be able to use one hand.

Good luck to ya Scott. What happened to your arm anyway? Try not to overdevelop your other hand/wrist now. :chair:

I did something to it when playing on my fall volleyball league. Dr. said its internal impingment. basically when my arm moves my bone pinches muscles in my arm.

I guess they would be doing an acromioplasty then...Maybe he's hinted at finding a small tear of the Rotator cuff as well? It's never fun getting bone grinded away, and the initial swelling within the shoulder will make it quite aggravating for a while at least...but listen to the shoulder, don't do too much too soon, ice, relax, and follow the rehab protocol and you should do well.

good luck :thumbsup

Best of luck to ya.

Shoulder issues are a pain (literally). I have a reoccuring pinched nerve in my left arm that causes me to lose sensation in my pinky and outer half of my ring finger. And when it doesn't feel like normal or numb, it hurts like hell! The most common culprit is when I lift something too heavy. My dad and I went and bought a 10 foot section of a bowling alley. Lifting it into the truck sucked!

That is what the dr finally said to me after dumbing down what he was trying to say.

well my arm is all fixed now. they went in and found that a tendon was peeled back from the bone. they had to put three screws in my arm to reatach the tendon.

Ouch...that makes it a bit more painful. How are you doing? Which tendon? I'd assume the Rotator cuff, but the bicep tendon is especially vulerable as well...although you would have seen an obvious deformity of your arm before-hand had that been the tendon. Out of curiousity, what was the suergeon name?

The Suergons name is Dr. David Kornriesch. I belive the tendon that was torn was the one of the Bicept. I do have pictures from the scope but I dont have a scanner.
