So this is why they tell you to remain seated with belt on until the plane has came to a stop and they turn off the belt light even when at the gate?

Good stuff, I can't wait to check out the "oops list" site myself. That plane ejection seat story was wild.

I found one a while ago when I was looking into the Pentagon/WTC plane crash coverup (thats 1 really messed up story in itself). You guys should check this out: http://www.planecrashinfo.com/index.html they have constantly updated plane crashes (There is one from yesterday actually.) and the best part is they have the Last Words from the Cockpit Voice Recorders and Transcripts.

I have wondered what people would say if they were seconds from certain death, this site will certainly satisfy that request. I spent about 3 or 4 hours reading almost every one. It was so interesting I just couldn't stop. I have to warn you it is disturbing so you ought to be prepared before you sit and read them. Some have audio too. This seems like the only chance to ever hear what people said/did right before their death, if anyone knows any other source please point me to it, I find this so fascinating, it also gets you to thinking about your own life and what is important and the fact your time may be much shorter than you planned...

BTW Planecrashinfo.com also has Unusual Accidents which tells brief stories about planes that crashed for stupid/unusual reasons. You'll be pretty astonished if you read some of those stories... One of the most amazing ones was an airline pilot who was sucked out of the windshield in flight and the stewardesses held onto his feet and they succesfully landed the plane with his body still hanging out the window, and then pulled him in. Now there's one guy who surely feels he has a new lease on life! :stare
