Any more bowlers on here?

Just wanted to see. I think there are a few of us but I wasn't sure. I bowled league last night and after just not finding the groove the first two games, I made some drastic changes, both in equipment and where I stood. Next thing I knew, I had the front 9 and was staring my first sanctioned 300 opportunity right in the face. Buried the first ball in the 10th. Second one was a tight, inside shot that held... there's 11. 12th ball I was shaking like a leaf and got a tad slow. Caught a lot of the headpin and left the 6-10 for a 298. Would have been nice to get a 300 but I'll take what I can get. Maybe I'd have had less nerves but last night I wasn't :alcoholic ... at least not until after that point!

yeah, i've shot 2 300s, numberous 279s and a few 298-299s. normally everyone stops bowling and makes you go i just stop and tell everyone else to go. the worst one i had was in juniors actually, i had a 789. i needed to punch out the 2rd game for a 300 and the 800. tapped the 11th ball for a 7 pin........ my average nowadays is like 207

Yeah, up til now, with my luck, I would usually wrap a ten pin in like the 3rd or 4th frame and run out for 279. Done that a couple of times. Never taken a run deeper than the 8th frame before. It was cool to have my friends watching but at the same time, I felt like taking a page from "Happy Gilmore" and telling them to go about their business and make some noise. I am in two leagues at the same house and my avg is 185 (Monday) in 1 league and 200 (Wednesday) in the other. The higher avg. league I have more fun and don't overthink so much.

I bowl sunday nights in south milwaukee and occasionally fill in on wednesdays in west bend. I am running a 169 in my sunday league and a 192 in my wednesday league (not sure why hehe). My best game is a 256 which I almost beat two weeks ago but I ended up screwing up in the 10th frame for a 244. Oh well. I've only bowled 3 600 series in my life, and this year I've had a 598, 597, and a 594. Every damn time it's on the line I leave a 4 or 5 pin in the end of the 10th and come up short. I must say it's gotta be tough having a 200 something average, with my 169 avarage it affords me the luxury of missing 2-3 every game and still making average. I can't hit 10 pins for my life.

So do you guys throw pretty high-crank shots? Mine is a very mild hook, only about 6-7 boards total movement but I can keep it consistent for the most part.

i bowl on sat. my highest game has been 265 but i am normally in low 200 every game... average is 203

I bowl 3 nights a week. I'm averaging 200, 220, and 210. My high series this year is 742 and high game is 279.

I have 2 300's and an 800 series to my name...

But, I am not very good at it. Most often, I'll score between 90 and 110. My highest was around 140. I blame a work injury from 3 years ago on the scores.

Even as bad as I am at it, I think it is a great sport.

i bowled inercollegiate and bowl in 3 leagues at my work (helps to work at a bowling alley) but i'm around 225-230 or so in the 3 leagues. I'm also sponsered by storm bowling inc. Anyone have any questions on coverstocks,layouts,or weight blocks, I'd be more than happy to help them out. I'll even give lessons for a small fee-haha.

i rolled intercolleigiate too, best experience of my life. trust me guys, you won't ever bowl on harder shots later on. the base shot isn't too hard, but they don't always oil in between sets, so you are rolling on burnt out garbage sometimes. as for the hook, usually the LESS servere of a crank you have the better off you are. easier to control. my base shot is prob like out to the 2 and in "im a lefty" but my 3rd game is a storm that teeters the gutter. lottsa big games, but no consitency. 3 years ago i rolled over 2000 games in one season. that was dumb

LOL... talk about burnt out garbage... A month or so ago, all my friends went open bowling late one night so I went with. Normally, I would use house stuff but since I had mine in the truck, I figured what the heck. I kid you not, you could stand over the left gutter, send it to the right gutter and be lucky if you caught some of the head pin... on the Brooklyn side. The lane guy came by and we asked him if the oil machine was broke. He said no but that they hadn't oiled in two days.

my high is 289 and i have had every game imaginable below that.....i bowl twice a week regualry....every other sat mixed league and sub on a tues night league....
