With the stock gearing:
4800rpms = 153.4mph
4900rpms = 156.6mph

The speedo on this one is in km/h but the same truck gearing-wise so we can figure out what it's really going.

...Just thought some might find it interesting.

Yeah, the pucker factor on that one would be pretty high i think. Especially when that one ass only going 110 wouldn't get out of the way :D

I'd be afraid of blowing something up... the majority of rod failure on lightnings has been extended high speed runs. This one sounds somewhat stock as far as pitch of the whine is concerned. It doesn't sound like he's running a pulley or an open filter (it'd be MUCH louder).

*edit*I should add, that the rod failures have nearly all been on trucks with added boost over stock. They seem to be able to take it just fine when left stock due to the pig-rich factory fuel trim. I'd have left this out, but people seem to always be looking for reasons to blast ford on this when added boost or aftermarket tuning is usually the real culprit.

That was awesome! He really had to get on the binders at the end when that focker wouldn't move over.

And I second the love for the blower whine!! :headbang

You wouldn't believe the difference from that and one with an open element air filter. The stock air box is very restrictive. It's just piercingly loud without that muffling it!

Same with the GTP'S. Than you add the smaller pulley and you get a sweet whine. Sounds a lot like the lightnings.

The ported eatons sound really cool too. They have a much lower/louder pitch to them.

I wonder how hot his exhaust temps were getting holding the throttle that long. :wooo
