Sunday I was trying to get some candid shots at my Uncle's house for Christmas on my mom's side of the family. This is Teague, the daughter of my cousin Chris. She is a gorgeous little girl and very fun to shoot cuz she is very dramatic. I shot this like a sniper, hiding behind a china cabinet and peaking around the corner so she wouldn't see me. :goof Candid shots are tough, cuz you want to capture the expression. I have a hard time getting the shot I want but I am quite happy with this one.

Nice shot, cute kid. Pretty damn good light for on camera flash :thumbsup Candid's are just about the only people pics I like to take personally.

here is another new one from last night...taken of my roommate for a christmas present he is working on....

shot last night with my D70
Zenitar 16mm manual focus
Vivitar hot shoe flash
white paper rubberbanded to flash to control bounce
tripod mounted the camera
ISO 400
F4
1/125 sec
custom white balance

post processing: whitened teeth and eyes, fixed a couple blemishes on face and wall behind; gradation to bottom of shot for dramatic effect

No flash (ya I'm a rebel :shades and was drunk that helps :thumbsup )

This was taken with a digital cam when they were first coming out, it was like $700, lol 1.0mp
It's not uber quality like you pro's :goof But it's the best picture I've ever taken, content-wise.
I can't believe it wasn't blurry, since there was no flash, AND I was moving at like 30mph at the time.
