At least the one good thing about working 3rd shift is already being up and used to the cold weather at sunrise. Even better is finally being close enough to the lake to get some kewl shots. These were taken this morning behind Smith Brothers in Port Washington. Never really done any winter shots in the past, didn't know what I was missing!

Cold as hell out there this morning and I think my right hand might fall off sometime tonight from the wind but I think it was worth it. I can't wait to go back now :headbang

If she already has an EOS with autofocus lenses you are in the EF mount system so I would highly reccomend a Digital Rebel. They are getting cheap ( well 6-700$) but very worth it. All of her existing lenses would work with that camera. The only thing that is REALLY different is external flashes but the on board can get the job done for basic shots.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I actually got this one ready for print WAY faster than I expected. Here is a different shot of the same set up and ready for 20x30" print :D

Holy crap, those are like profesional or something :wow . The tranquility shot would look pretty cool framed and hung in a family room. Nice job!
