Merry Christmas

This is something that I have seen run on another Forum with great success. One persons junk may be another person’s treasure. This is a way for you to clean out some parts out of the garage that maybe be on their way to the dump, but would be well appreciated to others.

List some parts or items on your post and let the others reply to set up the pick up. No turning the parts around or selling them on eBay. This is a way to let the dump come to you!

If this has a good response you may want to give it a “Sticky”.

Excelent!

Post your parts in a list.
Parts list:

1) part 1

2) part 2

3) part 3

Other members then reply back to the person posting the part, first person to make the claim gets first pick on the part.

1) Power steering boxes off my Montes. The SS one is the quick ratio one, forget the numbers....the LS is not, both worked fine and didn't leak to the best of my knowledge. I changed to *XH* faster ratio boxes from IROC's.

2) G-Body A/C condensors from both my Montes, in decent shape and should work. Deleted A/C from my SS and the LS uses a passenger side inlet/outlet condensor now. The Monte ones are drivers side inlet/outlet.

3) Standard rotation water pump for a SBC, pre-serpentine belt setup cars. Off my LS in good shape, no leaks. I converted to a serp. setup for both cars, no longer have a use for it.

Might add more later.

Is the timing cover clean? Just don't wanna rusty/crusty one, if its in good shape I'd take it. :)

A little surface rust is ok if its easily sanded off & whatnot.

PonyKiller87
12-12-2004, 12:33 PM
Yeah its in pretty good shape, might have a small amount of surface rust but nothing that wont scrub off, and the paint is kinda flaking of, I think the seal in it is almost new? maybe 1 year old, If you want it, its yours, PM me and I will tell you where I live so you can pic it up.

Instead of editing my post I will add parts here. Just went through my mega stash of stuff in the basement and here are what I am willing to give away. If I don't give the stuff away I will throw it out by the new year probably.

Various SBC V-belts in good shape. Off my Montes but should be the same for the f-bodies and other SBC cars. A couple smog pump belts, a couple A/C belts I think one alternator/water pump/timing belt, couple power steering belts. Converted both my cars to serpentine setups, no longer need these.

Pair of rear F-41 springs originally on my MCSS. Ok shape just used. Might be the same or interchangeable with the 3rd gen f-bodies, not sure.

Set of stock valve covers off my 86' MCSS. 86' and earlier SBC heads, perimeter bolt style. Passenger side is rusty on top drivers side is ok, they are usable. Both my cars are centerbolt head motors now.

Oil dipstick from a 87' Trans Am, 305. Tranny dipstick from the same Trans Am with a 700-r4.

*Updated, runners are gone and tossed a few parts already.

Still have my SBC water pump.
