For some reason none of my videos will display an image now. I get sound but not picture. This just started all of a sudden 2 nights ago. I thought it might have been due to my media player upgrade but that was almost a month ago with no issues. Even new vids that I dl now still wont show an image. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks! :confused

Couple quick questions and suggestions for ya:
are you updated with the newest windows patches?
scanned with spybot: search and destroy and adaware SE personal edition with the newest updates to see if there's any malware?
tried uninstalling media player and reinstalling it?
Any kind of virus scanner? free online scan: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp

Winamp isnt a bad substitute until you solve the windows media player problem :)

Maybe the codec is corrupted. Try re-installing it. What format is the video?
I'm always re-installing DivX for some reason or another.

How about video drivers?
I would probably check your codecs too- maybe download a codec package like Gordian Knot.
What video card do you have and you dont by chance have tv-out on it do you?

If that is the problem, then I am thinking it more or less has to be the codec.
If not, get an actual DIVX player from www.download.com
Just an idea.
