I'm going to go to GLD on Sunday for the first time this season while I still have the 8 inch wheels on. I'm wondering if I should try to get there around 9 to avoid a crowd, or if it would be ok to come in later.

I went yesterday around 10 am, not too many cars there, maybe 30.
Only had to wait a few minutes to get on the track.
I got 3 runs in before it started sprinkling and they ended up
closing it down at around 3:00. Today will probably be good :burnout

Wow that was fun. I went with my dad and had results better then expected. I've been told LG4s are low 17/high 16 second cars. I do have a complete exhaust system on and an open element, so I thought the 80 thousand miles would balance that out.

The runs go from left to right. The first run I went through the cat and muffler, and the last two I uncappped the cutout. I did a 3-4 second burnout before each. My tires had around 30 psi in them. oops.

My best 60 ft was 2.199. I need to get lca relocation brackets.
I have a 15 second car! Gotta start somewhere.

How many cars were there today?

I forgot to mention the high winds yesterday, it was blowing leaves and
debris across the timing system and screwing up a lot of time slips.
The clocks had one guy running a 3.48@432mph! lol

I would guess 50 in the staging lanes, but that is a really rough guess. My dad said 75-100 total.

Even with my cutout open, my sideview mirrors and interior pieces were shaking. I LOVE IT. The first car was a sliver evo, second was a gray camaro, and third was a black GTP.

the 14.7 (first one) sounds more like a GTP time

Because it is. My runs go right to left. The 1st gen camaro ran in the 11s, and the evo ran in the 13s. Even the GTP had a better 60 ft then me.

lol I couldn't even hear my car with the cutout open on the second run.
